Just as she thought this night could
not get any better, he slowly gets up from his chair and chivalrously kneels
down on one knee. He gently takes her shaking hand and puts it in his
warm, clammy hand. The adrenalin between them is running wild and she waits
with anticipation to hear what comes from his trembling lips. Racing
through her mind is the surreal moment when she realizes this may be the moment
she has been waiting for. She asks herself, "Is he really about to
propose to me?" He has never felt so electric and alive. And then it
comes, the momentous instant those unforgettable words fall from his mouth. She
doesn't hear the beautiful poetic things he has rehearsed so diligently for his romantic plight. All she hears are the monumental words,
"Will you marry me?"
With an invincible blinding embrace the
two of them nearly fall to the ground with joy. However, his powerful
hold was sturdy and strong and they did not fall. She knew then it was symbolic
of their love and with every breath in her body she yells out, "Yes, yes,
yes!" After the mist clears and she gains some of her composure she
looks at her financee and says, "Oh my God, we have to start planning our
wedding and I don't even know where to begin!"
